A letter from Burchfield to Dr. and Mrs. Paul G. Bulger dated December 15, 1966

Dear Marian & Paul:

Now that all the excitement is over (both during and after the opening) Bertha and I want you to know how wonderful it was for us from beginning to end. The dinner was just lovely (and oh! that murderously delicious dessert!) -

And at the Center, everything was just perfect - We are so lucky to have such good friends at the N. Y. U. C. - It is a flawless place to show pictures -

The sequel (at our home) shook us up somewhat, but it could have been so much worse. The fact that nothing in the house or studio was harmed was so wonderful. However I am taking steps to make the studio fool-proof (against vandals.) - Waiting now for a call from A. D. T. -  the system to be connected directly with their office. Additional straight bolt locks everywhere.
