Got to work early on the “Wild Geese at Evening” and worked with gusto all day on it — practically solving the sky, and making the locust tree group more elemental and grim. – (I will have to think of a new title for it, as it has become clear that the wild geese cannot be put in without disturbing the sky – which is more important.)
