P.M. new glasses – I am amazed at the clarity of my distance
Evening – letter from Frank with catalogue of my “early” show; and he was enclosing a clipping of Jewell’s review from the Nov. 21, Times (but he failed to enclose it). So B & I to Buffalo after supper to get one. The criticism was excellent, and set my mind at rest, for I realized that all along, I subconsciously had wondered how an exhibition of my early things, out of a clear sky, would be received.
