"Breaking Bad" actor Forster to perform at Burchfield Penney at Buffalo State By Alan Pergament

The actor who played the character called “The Disappearer” on the next to last episode of “Breaking Bad” is appearing at Buffalo State College next week.
Robert Forster, the Oscar-nominated actor who played the character, Ed, who helped Walter White (Bryan Cranston) hide out in a cabin in New Hampshire in the Emmy- Award winning series, is going to be an artist-in-residence at the Burchfield Penney Art Center on the Elmwood Avenue campus.
Forster, who earned an Oscar nomination as best supporting actor for his performance in the movie "Jackie Brown," will begin his residency with a program billed as a "Conversation with Robert Forster." He is expected to give an insider’s view of the movies and TV -- hopefully including some “Breaking Bad” info -- during the program. It will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the Burchfield Penney's Peter and Elizabeth C. Tower Auditorium. Admission for students is free. It is $10 for the general public.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in late September, Forster said this about his role in the "Breaking Bad" episode titled "Granite State.""All you need to be successful in show business is 50 really lucky breaks. And this is definitely one of them."
The actor, who has appeared in more than 100 films including "Medium Cool" and "The Descendants," will also do a performance titled "The One Man Show" at 8 p.m. Nov. 2. He is working with students in Buffalo State’s Theater Department, assistant professor Carlos Jones and associate professor Jeffrey Hirschberg on the program. Hirschberg is the director of the television and film arts program at Buffalo State.
"The One Man Show" is open only to members of the Burchfield Penney and Buffalo State students, faculty and staff. Tickets are free for Buffalo State students and $10 for Burchfield Penny members and Buffalo State faculty and staff.
