A brisk sunny cool morning following a short season of rain. Last night to Roessler’s. Travis, Joe + I walk over.
Mr. R. on wet + dry. Argues wet from business standpoint. Claims bible not inspired. Cards. Lunch. Home. Austin, J. Black, Travis, Joe . Discuss plans for a hike 15. some day this week.
In bed by l:30. I watch a star low in the east. Sparkles with red, green and blue lights. Wonderfully. As I watch it I entertain thoughts of “art for art’s sake.” It is clearly fixed my mind what I shall do.
