Goodman of James Goodman Gallery, Gift of Mrs. Goodman and Trustees of the Goodman Estate, 2020
B & I to Park Lane for brunch (very good, shrimp with cheese sauce). Then upstairs to see exhibition assembled by the Goodman’s (who intend sometime to open a gallery)- John had lent my “July Wind Rustling” and a drawing “Willow Branch & Church”
Mrs. Goodman there and a friend – Later Mr. Goodman came in - a charming couple – They had assembled a good show (they labelled us all “imagists”!) They were in protest against the Albright’s slant toward non-objective art (controlled by Seymour Knox, Jr.) – we invited them to come to the studio soon.
Evening Art calls – he is being promoted, and has to go to California (San Jose) for two months to learn how to run a big “electric brain” – He hopes to be able to take Vi & the children along. They were all excited about it and we are happy for them –
