A robin song at early morning.
AM. – Mart over with letter from Congee (art director for Ford Co.) – he still wants a picture of mine for their magazine cover, and thought it might be possible to meet my price. So I decided I had better go along, and make an “easy” piece for them. We settled on a 1946 one of Miller’s house and Albarella’s Tree – an autumn scene. It had to be demounted and mounted again.
Both Bertha and I exhausted from last night’s affair. – and it was a dark day with rain from the east.
