Buffalo, NY (WBEN) - On Saturday the 27th, Western New Yorkers will be able to go to any one of 12 different museums free of charge as a part of a national "Museum Day" initiative.
"We do have a great arts and culture community," said Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown. "People across Buffalo and Western New York enjoy our vibrant arts scene, but also people come from all over the country and the world to enjoy what we have. It's sad to think that there are those in our community who can't afford to enjoy the great arts and cultural destinations we have."
People who wish to participate can get a ticket from the Smithsonian website that is good for an entire family.
Visitors who present a "Museum Day Live!" ticket will be able to enter any of the following museums free of charge:
