P.M. – B & I to Albion and Medina Country
By way of Thruway to route 98 then north to Albion. A cool sunny day — sky almost cloudless — It was pleasant, even exciting to go North on such a day –
Just below Albion, stopped at Vagg’s Restaurant (which we had seen advertised) – A good meal there (We had intended going to the “Apple Orchard” restaurant west of Medina, but we were too hungry to wait.) —
North of Medina (on 63) to Lyndondale to see the barn with the double cupola.
On most of these roads we noticed so many trees (mostly maples) that are dead or dying, the leaves light reddish brown. Are these being killed deliberately by the state so as to provide an “unobstructed” road, or for road-widening? If so, it is an atrocious piece of vandalism, not excused by the usual reason of “progress”
