A grey moist morning in which the oriole’s buoyant songs predominate. It was like sunshine roaring in a garden.
It is cool and dark at day except at late afternoon when the wind blew a sparkling yellow sunset across the land, and later the night chorus of crickets & katydid went up into the cold air –
