Aug. 5—Friday.
Letters from Art & Mort (with M.O. we need so badly) & others.
Out Woodland to cash M.O. (P.O. hasn’t enough money! But druggist cashed it)—& to buy groceries.
P.M. class at Point of Rocks. (last day)—suddenly turned very cold. I lent my jacket to Dr. Miller. Evening—to Millers & pick them up & go to see Mrs. Tweed’s art collection—a huge depressing mausoleum–like House crammed with pictures—a few of good caliber, but much boring dead wood—stuffy atmosphere—Mrs. T. talking on Australia—
* On our return Millers invite us up for coffee—First Dale & I go to foot of 15th St. Moon on water—far, far to the east, lightening in distant thunderheads, very mysterious.
