P.M. – In studio redding up some, and scrubbing out portions of “Fantasy of Heart” (1952) and “Cicada Woods” (1951) preparatory to making changes- afterwards, I went out to sit under the willow tree awhile- I had to stop and look at the tree in wonder- It seems as if I had never seen a tree so beautiful, the hot sun lighting up the foliage, the deep blue of the northern sky coming thru lacy openings- the world is newly created for me, due, I am sure, to my long illness and confinement-
Evening B & M to Thruway Plaza shopping- while they were gone I had a bad coughing spell, and I was glad that Bertha could miss at least one!- She went chiefly for cards, but also brought home some tea cups, saucers & little plates she had bought; very pretty-
A.M- Letter from Dr. Brasch – a heartwarming one, with clippings of interest-
Also Letters from Dr. Smith (U.M.D) & Mr. Marrin (Ohioan)
