To New Oregon Road sketching. (South of Hamburg)
A hot humid day.
On a “bearded” hillside all afternoon painting
Afterwards I stripped to the waist and lay in the sun awhile. Then I took my outfit to the car, and taking my lunch basket went back up on the hillside. The slightest movement made me drip with sweat.
After “supper” I stay on the hillside watching the sun go down, and then the moon rise. First black & yellow orb-weaver.
Last night a glorious display of Northern Lights.
