Hoped to get at the Appalachian Highway Picture, but it’s not “ripe” yet. Mounted some paper.

P.M. In studio – got work on the new version of Appalacian Highway. At first it seemed as if I were getting nowhere and I reached the point when I thought it ought all to be sponged out – But then it began to clarify, and at the end of the afternoon I felt I had a good start.
