Following two days of cold numbing weather, July opens with a cool rainy day. The sky is downcast. The rain comes down evenly & quietly. A cool breeze stirs the sluggish air. There is nothing dispiriting about this rain. The sky is continually brightening westward.
At noon hear a redbird sing several times.
