Arthur’s Birthday – we had put his presents on a chair by his bed so that he could see them when he woke up. About four in the morning, I awoke, and saw that the light was lit in his room, and knew that he had awakened early, and could not wait for daylight. At the usual “getting –up” time he was sound asleep, and we had to wake him. He then looked at his gifts in our presence and pretended that it was his first look. Later, I told him of a vivid dream I had had, about his light being on, at which he grinned sheepishly.
