May 15 –
P.M. B+I to Buffalo shopping – presents for Art & Evie – etc.
Then to “Center” to see “Valley of the Eagles” Scene land in northern Sweden – a fine picture – especially the arctic scenes – the use of eagles for hunting a thrilling sight to see them attack wolves – A fine avalanche too – (it recalls that recently we saw another fine movie of the north, “The Wild North” – scene land in northern Canada – Ravishingly beautiful mountains, snow-scapes + open snow-bound vistas.)
Then to Henger’s Tea-room for dinner –
Home about 7:45 – Shortly after, Mart called – they had arrived about 1:00 + had been trying to get us. Raining again.
