Took the Albright class (rain at early morning so no one atned to go out) for a tour of the "Expressionism Show." Everything in it from Velasquez to the vacuities of the non-objectists, and drip-drip artists—An intereresting show; nevertheless—It was wonderful to see again the Van Gogh "Poolroom," Ryder's "Death on a Pale Horse" & Delacroix's "Lion-hunt"—Rico LeBrun's "Rooster on the Cross" one of the best of the semi-abstract—For abstraction—nothing since has been done to equal Braque's "Man with a Guitar(?)"
