Both morning and afternoon to Buffalo to make studies of Genesee St. Building. P.M. buy groceries at market for my Birthday dinner. Veal steak for breaded veal. The butcher had to skin a calf first. The whole atmosphere of the place accorded well with the mood I am in for doing the new picture.
Evening mail brings a check from Rehn’s (and my “birthday records” (The so-called “Harp” Quartet of Beethoven Opus 74)
