Cold 3° above – Sunlight as the day wore on, it turned milder – by mid-afternoon in the 20s. All day in the studio – in the morning sorting out and listing the drawings by year to determine what years were missing. In the afternoon converted the 1929 pencil drawing Chippewa Market to India Ink + Conté –
Bob Blair did not show up for the painting until I was lying down, and so drowsy I did not feel like getting up. However, Bertha she felt rather bad I was not up, as Bob was in low spirits having had a lot of sickness, with hospitalization. (He was expecting a bill for about $1000 from the hospital). What he can do is hard to answer.
