Rest in Peace Marion Faller

All of us at the Burchfield Penney are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Marion Faller (1941-2014). The artist passed away on January 15, 2014 after a long illness. Faller was a documentary photographer whose work captured the essence of what is unique and special about Western New York, from Christmas lights and holiday tables, to St. Joseph’s Day and Swienconka baskets. Marion Faller captured these moments with respect and grace, her camera shooting beyond the subject and into the culture of those behind the scenes and celebrations. A visitation with Marion’s family is Saturday, January 18 from 4-8 pm at Amigone Funeral Home, 1132 Delaware Ave at West Ferry Street in Buffalo.
