Another dream last night – a glimpse into that legendary world of mine which tantalizes me and fills me with sadness because I can never really experience it (unless perhaps through madness)...

To the Country S. E. of Strykersville sketching—

I had a dream last night that filled me with joy. I was out in the country – the countryside that belongs to my boyhood, though it was so transfigured in my dream that I know I never saw it...

At evening to my new quarters—to the place where Bertha &I will start life together—Mariner street is lined with buckeyes & elms, and I felt a wave of joyousness come over me as I walked up under those  brilliant green leaves, splotched with yellow in late afternoon sunlight—

I had a dream last night and got a [glimpse] of that strange world that seems partly a memory of childhood impressions, and partly something that I never have experienced...

In this time I brought the “Four Seasons” (better—Fantasy of the Seasons?) more or less to a conclusion—It is in the house now for study—

A dream of wandering along a row of hillocks roaming north half way between east & west with portfolio; the way led down over a circular dam made of slippery moss-covered rocks...

I awoke about 7:00, and was amazed to see the air full of flying snowflakes! (Later reports told of drifts 18” deep at Little Valley, necessitating the use of plows on the roads!

A dream – I was in our backyard at home – had it just been raining and the windy clouds were scattered over the sky?
