Charles E. Burchfield copyright process
The Burchfield Penney Art Center, as a representative of the Charles E. Burchfield Foundation, manages the copyright of all works produced by Charles E. Burchfield (1893-1967). If you are interested in reproducing any work by Burchfield in any format, please click here to download the request form and fax (716-878-6003) or email the form to the Burchfield Penney at burchfld@buffalostate.edu.

Image requests/usage policy
The Burchfield Penney Art Center has in its holdings over 8,500 works by artists from Western New York. If you wish to obtain an image for a work from the collection, including works by Burchfield, please email the Burchfield Penney.

Copyright Disclaimer
If you believe that we are using an image without proper clearance from the copyright holder, please email the Burchfield Penney and include the following:

• Identification of the copyrighted work, or if multiple works, a list of those works.
• Information reasonably sufficient to permit the Burchfield Penney Art Center to contact the holder of copyright (address, telephone number, and, if available, an electronic mail address at which the complaining party may be contacted).
• Statement regarding the legal authority of concerned party in relationship to the work(s) in question.
