The center offers docent-led public tours (suitable for all ages) during the week, giving guests the opportunity to gain insights into the artists, artwork, and Burchfield’s innovative building. The Burchfield Penney can also customize a tour for your group, organization, school, or college, based on your specific interests and needs.

Center guests can enjoy docent-led tours every Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday beginning at 2 pm. These free public tours allow guests to learn more about the artwork, the artists, and the building. In addition, please check the events calendar for upcoming curator tours, in-depth tours, and more.
We offer private group tours for individuals, corporate and nonprofit groups, individuals needing accommodation under the ADA, conference and bus tour attendees, and social organizations. Admission for group tours is $10 per person. Please contact the Education Programs Manager to book your tour.
The Center can offer catered lunches, event space, and custom-designed programs for your group.

One chaperone is needed for every ten students. A coat room, lockers, and wheelchairs are available. Please review the museum guidelines and accessibility (below) in advance of your visit. You may also inquire about adding a hands-on art activity with your tour.
