January M&T Second Friday
The Burchfield Penney's beloved community art party, Stay Gold, returns on January 12th, 2024, 4:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.! This one-night event will feature visual and performance art, dance, music, and whimsical creativity throughout the building. Explore the galleries, participate in all-ages art-making, and more! Event: The Burchfield Penney's annual Community Art Party returns!
Date/Time: January 12th, 2024/ 4:30 pm – 11 pm
Deadline to apply: Sunday, November 12th, 11:59 pm
The selected projects will receive a $500 stipend to create the site-specific work. Successful applications will incorporate some mix of the following elements into their proposal:
* creation of immersive environments
* transformation of one's relationship to liminal or in-between spaces within the building
* incorporating a sense of discovery, play, or interactive engagement

Artist responsibilities
Selected artists are responsible for delivering their work to the Burchfield Penney Art Center, located at 1300 Elmwood Avenue, in Buffalo, NY, 14222, and picking up the work following the event. Selected artists must be available for install between January 5th - 12th, 2024, and be able to work directly with the Museum's Registrars and Curatorial staff throughout the process.
