The Burchfield Penney Art Center is the only collecting institution in Western New York to focus on the exhibition, collection and interpretation of art in craft media. Stellar pieces have been acquired over the institution's history to represent the best examples of artworks composed with clay, fiber, glass, metal, and wood. Featured artists included Bill Stewart, Wayne Higby, Gail McCarthy, Daisy Anderson, Nancy Belfer, John McQueen, Jackie Pancari, Alex Bernstein, Albert R. Paley, Jr., William UNderhill, Wendell Castle and Taeyoul Ryu.
