An experiment that harkens back to structural-materialist works privileging shape as a form of content, in the Spore Print Film Series, form is in constant flux as each frame re-emerges each time anew. In this series, Anna Scime creates a maelstrom of shifting states; wherein mycological forms, like identity, nature, or art, are never fixed but always fixing to something else. Her kinetic prints are elusive images of creation and destruction that demonstrate that “all well-rooted images develop by themselves."
