In conjunction with the 125th-anniversary celebration of Buffalo State College, the fifth biennial craft art exhibition was presented with support from the Sylvia L. Rosen Endowment. Works by Buffalo State College faculty and alumni, including emeritus faculty, were chosen by Burchfield Penney staff. Artists included Nancy Belfer, Bill Berchou, Kristopher Boldt, Diane L. Bonitatibus, Lisa Brown, Christy Carlson, Leeann Catanzaro, Lori Christmastree, Jennifer Claflin, Brett Coppins, Donna D’Aquino, Dennis de Jonghe, Sonja Flavin, Marie A. Gniazdowski, Paul F. Hauth, William Herod, John Jauquet, Michele Kulp, Scott Losi, Gail McCarthy, Lynne McElhaney, Richard James Nickel, Nikki C. Pierce, Cynthia Printup-Harms, Sylvia Rosen, Steve Saracino, Carol Schwartzott, Gerald Smith, Peter Sowiski, Amy Stangler, Bill Stewart, Georgia Trimper, Robert Wood, Barry R. Yavener, and Tanya Zabinski. Selections from the exhibition were included in Contemporary New York State Crafts, exhibited at the New York State Museum in Albany, New York from February 7 - May 26, 1997.
