This exhibition presented selections from the museum’s craft art collections – including examples from the Charles Rand Penney Collection of Craft Art that had recently been acquired by the Burchfield Penney. While open to the public, this exhibition also served as a resource for students at Riverview Elementary School in Tonawanda, New York (a suburb of Buffalo), who engaged with the Burchfield Penney in a curriculum development project examining craft art and its relationship to the sciences. This arts education project was funded through a New York State Council for the Arts education grant.
