The diversity of the museum’s collection – representing works by artists who have lived and worked in Western New York – is reflected in this exhibition of art acquired in 1996. New acquisitions for The M&T Bank Collection were featured including work by Charles Agel, Reed Anderson and Jef Scharf, Roberley Bell, Eric M. Jensen, K. C. Kratt, Gilda Pervin, John Pfahl, Endi Poskovic, Patrick Robideau, and Sean Scherer. Other highlights included photographs of the Pan-American Exposition held in Buffalo in 1901, pictorialist portraits by Clara E. Sipprell and Francis J. Sipprell, and a Polaroid® diptych by Arnold Mesches.
