Stephen Vitiello is an electronic musician and media artist whose body of work includes audio CDs (Light of Falling Cars, Scratchy Marimba, Bright and Dusty Things), site-specific installations (P.S. 1 Contemporary Art Center, the 2002 Whitney Biennial), internet commissions, and more than 75 soundtracks for independent film, video, and dance. He has collaborated with artists, musicians, and choreographers including Nam June Paik, Pauline Oliveros, Tony Oursler, Scanner, Frances-Marie Uitti, and John Jasperse. Stephen Vitiello and Tony Conrad presented "Concert I" as a finale for Signals from the Electronic Cloud: Recent Work from the IEA on Thursday, April 4, 2002.
