Randy Carfagno

Randy Carfagno is a costume designer who specializes in the making of props, puppets, mascots, and character costumes for Broadway, television, movies, sporting events, and feature films through his own company, Robert Carfagno Productions.

A majority of Carfagno's work is manufactured in his New York, New York studio, where he has been based for the last four decades.

He produced the pink bear costume for the Burchfield Penney Art Center’s Camp Everything multimedia project that premiered at the summer 2022 Buffalo PRIDE Festival.

When reflecting on his work for Camp Everything, Carfagno told the Burchfield Penney:

“Owning a minority-run shop, being LGBTQ+, we felt it necessary to support the community, especially with the temperature of current political events. Self-expression is essential for one’s growth. Here we create fun characters for people to hide behind to ‘be themselves’ while wearing the costumes. We support people fully being themselves, while just being – no costume required."
