Miggie Wong creates situation-based performative projects. Her intercultural experiences across several countries have diversified her artistic awareness coupled with her ideals. As such, she offers whimsical experiments that explore and document ideas of social interaction, cultural mutation, senses of belonging, and acts of sincerity. Wong is a native of Hong Kong and holds a BFA from the California Institute of the Arts. She currently lives and works in Los Angeles, CA, and Buffalo, NY.
In 2020, Wong moved to Buffalo from Los Angeles just one week before Buffalo went into lockdown due to the Covid019 pandemic. Historic Delaware Avenue was her first landing port and became an inspiration for her architectural drawing project of Buffalo homes and structures. Miggie writes, "This drawing project has given me strength and curiosity to learn about the city of Buffalo with love and patience during the pandemic and beyond."
