Lynn Duggan is a Professor Emerita of jewelry and metalsmithing at Nazareth College in Rochester, N.Y. She received her BA in creative arts from Purdue University and her MFA in jewelry and metalsmithing at Washington University. Her work has been exhibited throughout the U.S., including group shows at the Wichita (Kan.) Center for the Arts, Lubeznik Center for the Arts (Michigan City, Ind.), and Geisel Gallery (Rochester, N.Y.), as well as the 2011, 2013 and 2019 editions of Art in Craft Media at the Burchfield Penney. Duggan curated the exhibition Torch Song: The Metals Invitational at the Nazareth College Arts Center gallery in 2011.
Duggan's recent work explores the feminine experience, as noted in her artist statement:
"Using a feminist lens, I focus on the experiences of girls and women. Figurative imagery is prevalent, the body being a site of social and political conflict, and a space from which we understand our world and ourselves." [1]
