Many of his paintings depicted moments he saw throughout his time in the military. Beuchat painted while he was stationed in the Southwest and continued his endeavors when he was sent to France.[5] He fought in many major battles throughout the war was subsequently awarded the Victory Medal with three battle stars, as well as other service awards.[6]
Upon his return home in 1919, Beuchat joined the Fine Arts League, and continued to paint until his death in 1955.[7]
