Dan Mirer has been working in glass since he was 16 years old. He attended the Rochester Institute of Technology (AAS, 1997), Alfred University (BFA, 2002), and the Pukeberg School of Design in Sweden. He lives in Corning, NY. and works at the Corning Museum of Glass. As a statement on the CMOG website puts it, Mirer “makes elegantly shaped vessels, including a unique series of functional and decorative hand-blown bottles.” [1] His work has been shown at UrbanGlass (Brooklyn, N.Y.), the National Bottle Museum (Ballston Spa, N.Y.), and in the Smithsonian Craft Show, among other venues.
