Alex Cassetti is an artist and a trained photographer, based in Buffalo, NY currently pursuing an MFA at University at Buffalo. He received his BFA in Photography and Video in 2016 at the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in New York, NY. During his undergraduate, Cassetti audited classes in the MPS fashion photography program at SVA. Cassetti was given the Royal College of Art award, where he spent one semester studying at the RCA and the London School of Fashion in London UK in the MA in Photography programs. After studying in London, Cassetti got a job as a photographer and researcher at Giovanni Bianco Studio 65 a creative agency in NYC. Cassetti worked on concept development and research for editorial and fashion advertising campaigns.
Cassetti has exhibited his photographs in solo shows at Greene House Gallery (Brooklyn NY) in 2019 and FORM Gallery (Hempstead, NY) in 2014. Selected group shows are at the Pulse Art Fair, Photoville, School of Visual Arts Gallery (Chelsea, NY), CEPA Gallery (Buffalo, NY), Foley Gallery (New York, NY), and Ugly Duck Gallery (London, UK). Cassetti has an upcoming solo show in February at Mirabo Press Gallery (Buffalo, NY). He is currently working on his thesis and to exhibit it in Spring of 2023.
