“Quásar – A response to Bruce Adams”
i am a part of this body.
its least common part.
i am its instance of immortality.
i’ve become this soul’s inscription,
its conduit
and its touch.
and i am no longer here;
no longer overpowered
by the complexity of my stillness,
i’ve surrendered to non-identity;
become an object—
over-spilling its frame.
i’ve negated my center
and inhabited its absence.
this anonymity is not my enemy;
it is my solace
demanding to be heard.
i am NOW ink
on blood—
becoming one,
LIVING quill—
belonging to
no one.
