"This immersive art installation invites viewers to experience the disorientation and frustration of growing up in a world that imposes rigid gender norms on toys. Through a series of interactive elements, the installation challenges viewers to question the assumptions they hold about gender and the impact of these assumptions on children's development.
Playing in the Wrong Box aims to raise awareness of the challenges faced by gender non-conforming individuals and to promote a more inclusive and accepting society. The installation invites viewers to question their own biases and to recognize the limitations of gender-based stereotypes that begin in early childhood. By fostering empathy and understanding, the installation encourages a broader acceptance of non-binary identities and a dismantling of rigid gender norms."
