111. A dream-
In a manufacturing plant in a valley, which derived its power from subterranean volcanic heat – I mischievously thru a shovelful of snow down in the opening – the effect of the suddenly melted snow caused a deeper rumbling & shaking to commence – I ran out onto a narrow street, Catherine & Arthur were with me – a guard came running and confiscated my shovel –
We were now in a sort of hospital where they treated a very fatal & highly contagious disease of the skin – I realized we were not supposed to be there, but just as I was going to go out, a negro nurse spied me, and demanded to see my hand – I refused but she seized at my left hand and looked at it with an expression of horror – the skin was white & blistered in places, still I sought to escape and she called for help – I ran & leaped out of a windows, and could have escaped, but the realization came over me sickenly (sic) that I had left Arthur & Catherine behind – I knew I must go back to get them – I awoke then, tense & quivering –
