WET SCREEN ILLUSION
SCRATCH CURRENTS
CREEK SECTIONS
1 make loops to study scratches
[need: editor + projector [need 1 person's help]
-or carefully force obstacles into film gate during projection
2 make splices without thought
3 go across splices so that they act as "dams" (obstacles)
for scratch currents
(figures and diagrams)
sound (wave fluctuations) each of 6 has it's core word form:
each fluctuates (into adjacent forms occasionally)
there are 6 sections all 15 mins long..the basic unit is a document of a short section of a small creek running thru aspera, colorado--it is a linear composite of sections, fading in + out fluidly + a harmonic composite ( 6 levels of overlayed segments--randomized "lap dissolves")-- finally become 1 picture as other 5 levels gradually + progressively "removed")*side note* lowering complexity results in increasing illusionism--splice obstacles, amounting at times to dams, were cut into this basic module (mental dams-later physical dams to scratch currents)--each permentation
*side note* Important: what happens on 1 level temporally in 1 single film, is constantly present in the system of films
