So all [strikethrough] Brought my lunch over to the spot where I was set up the easel. A delightful warm drowsy day—the sunlight & warmth reflected up from the dead leaves, carrying a thousand rich odors and nostalgic memories. Yellow violets in profusion. So all afternoon on the sketch, using a tall mount 48 x 26—After finishing, drove around awhile; grass fires everywhere. Finally park on the Concord Rd, south of the Genesee Rd near Springville. A fine sunset with the sun & the full moon visible at once. After lunching, down into a low meadow to listen to the peepers and toads & make studies. The moon rapidly gained strength. Then home. Hank brings old snow-fence.B said there was a total Eclipse of the moon due. Watched until it was about 2/3 covered, but had to go to bed then.April 13—Wed.A busy day—small things. Letter writing, mending and putting up one section of the fence. A rain—gloom day—delightfully warm. Tie & Card from Cathie. Letter from Evie.Evening—Communion Service at Immanuel.Rain
