the afternoon by Mrs. Rudd.).; Then to the Prior’s apartment for a while.; A snow storm raging—Then, when we got to the hotel, rain which froze, we worried about driving home the next morning but by then it was warmer. ; By the time we got to Syracuse we had passed the storm zone. After that it was sunny all the way, the roads dry. We got home at 3:00 P.M.; ; ; ; ; Jan.22, (Sat.); A nice note from Mrs. Mitchell saying she would like to have the early 1916 sunflowers & would like to try it in her home. ; Letter from American Academy in Rome asking me to serve on their painting Jury (Feb. 19) of which Franklin Watkins is Chairman. I decided to accept.; ; ; ; ; Jan. 23 (Sun.); ; ; ; ; Jan. 25 (Tues); Make date with Mrs. M to bring picture out tomorrow at 4:30.; Evening B & I to see “Luck of the Irish” at the Strand. An amusing tale of an Irish leprechaun which followed the hero to N. Y. & guarded his life & love affair. ; ; ; ; ; Jan. 26— (Wed.); B & I to Loblaws—; P.M. to Buffalo Shopping—then out to Mitchell’s. B had not counted on going out with me, hence was not “dressed” so she stayed behind in car. Almost as soon as I arrived the maid brought in a table for tea & sandwiched etc. & I
