— Saturday —A day of odd jobs—cutting boards for “Weather Moon” & “New-Fallen Leaves”—B & I to city-line shopping. Called up F—he seems discouraged—no sales for me.; ; ; ; ; Sunday—Nov. 14—B — H & I to church. Movie “And now I see”—P.M. Hank and I cutting out limbs of Albarelli’s big maple tree that hung over our house. Or rather Hank did it with my minor help & “moral backing” A pleasant activity in raw windy weather. It was interesting and exciting maneuvering to prevent the limbs falling on the electric wires. Eventually we cut off three large limbs & then carted dragged the whole group into the creek. Then Hank cleaned the leaves out of the gutter.B & M then had supper ready, after which we played a game of rummy, with Peggy looking on. The game seemed unusually long drawn out & eventually we quit with B ahead with 400. ; ; ; ; ; Monday. Nov. 15—A.M. fixing frame for “Bringing in the Christmas Tree”— P.M. to Buffalo—to bank for money,--market—Gen. Pic. Fr. Co. The glaziers & the Alling-Cory for cardboard. Then to gallery. Westfall & his helpers put the picture in the frame for me. Prints to Miss Lyon etc. ; ; ; ; ; Tues. Nov. 16—To the country east of Lime Lake sketching—first to Lime Lake—parked awhile on the hill to the east above, going over my notes. Then northward, and to Farmersville Station & Route 98—parked by the Hemlock Swamps at the junction of 98 & 243.A lovely spot. Here I ate my lunch. The flat wispy
