Trees territory. We were amazed to discover that a new street has been put thru up to and beyond where the three trees stood with many new houses—it made me feel rather sad. One of the original three trees still standing between two of the houses.Then out Painter Rd & on the Egypt Rd to Albany. Mileage 330. We set the speedometer at 3 miles. {Routes 62 to Canfield—46 to Cortland then 5 to 7—7 to Conneaut & Route 20}.Going northward thru Ohio—gorgeous maple trees, huge, rich orange yellows—120 mi. East of Erie—eat lunch (12:30) by a peach orchard. {Total gas 46.69—total other costs 114.20}199.2 mi—Home—2:30; Found all well— Pal M glad to see us, as we her. Pal as usual frantic. Later Hank came in.
