least nearer so our last days drive would not be too long.Left at 4:00 Beautiful country north of Logan {Route—33 Logan to Lancaster—(skip a block) then 37 to U.S. 40—rt. Turn on 40 to Hebron—then left on 79 to Newark. Left turn on Ohio 13—to Mt. Vernon—then 3 to Wooster.} Stopped at a road side park for our evening meal a huge old flour mill. Just about dusk—a convenient table near a fire place, when we built a fire. We would just barely see, but enjoyed ourselves. 236 mi—Wooster. On east edge of town—Wm. Penn cabins—Our room part of the main house—good clean room—2 double beds, so comfortable we slept until 11:00 am.—(called M soon after arriving.).; ; ; ; ; Saturday – Oct. 23.“Breakfast” at Hillcrest Restaurant just beyond the cabins – then on the way at 12:30.(Routes 30 to Canton—62 to Salem)Ran through almost a cloudburst—passed thru Marrilon [sic] —297 mi. Arrive Salem (Mary & Dick’s) 2:30—Jim & Elfreda & baby there—had driven in the night before from Iowa (700 miles in one drive). They were having dinner at 7:00 so we decided to do all our visiting in the meantime.First to Columbiana. Emma looking very frail
