a wonderful group—Show opens Oct 6”—}; We all, but Joe, took Louise home. (She had planned a little theatre party for the next evening, but we felt we ought to head for home next day—we planned to have lunch together).; We talked until late in the evening—I found some pleasure in looking over Jimmys [sic] collection of popular songs, particularly the years 1900-1907.) Tuesday—I got up early so as to see Joe before he left for work (his work is book-keeping & he finds it & his co-workers congenial).; B, R & I to museum to pick up L—then up to the Heights (Shaker Square) to Stouffers for lunch—a pleasant time. Take L. back to museum, then “home.” Change clothes & pack, and after giving Anth a lift (to get & die & take it to church) we head for home. ; A fine cloudy cool day, very pleasant driving. We drive first & almost without interruption, making the trip in 4 ½ hours.—we found Art better—we were glad to get home.; ; ; ; ; ; Oct. 1. (Wed.); A.M. Art & I set up furnace pipes. (First to City line for meat).; ; ; ; ; ; Oct. 2 (Thurs.); Most of day on 2 frames (one for the Christmas picture, and one for the picture of mine that belongs to Mart). P.M. B & I to Buffalo to buy shirt for B. Found a nice gray one at Charles’—; ; ; ; ; ; Oct. 3 (Friday); Most of day on taking magazines (Art) from studio attic, sorting them & wrapping them up. There was something depressing about it all.; Evening—B, M. & I to Seneca to see “Romance of Rosy Ridge”
