for temporary insurance.; 2nd Batch of pictures before noon. Stopped at Red Star Express to make arrangements. They must have them Wednesday Evening in order to deliver them to Budworth on Friday.; P.M. Seal & deliver the large Gen. St. Bldg to Packers. Tried, an it seemed a super-human task to cart the other from in one by me. So to see Hank whether he can borrow the town truck & take them in in the morning—He stopped by at supper & said it was all arranged.; Evening long letter to F.R. with descriptions of the pictures—which I sent air-mail. (When I returned I found I was locked out—Art had thought I was in bed).; Listened to the Buffalo-Syracuse Game—a “tight” game—very tense & exciting—B won in the 12th inning.; ; ; ; _______________________; After Sunday’s warm humid weather, a sudden change in weather and a frost this morning—it got some of the coxcomb-zinnias, morning-glories & the pumpkin vine.; ; ; ; ; Sept. 24—(Wed.); A.M. Hank & I take remaining pictures safely in.; Letter from Mary H. asking us to come to a birthday party for Emma—(it is her 70th) at Olives, Saturday night. We decide to go—to drive down Sat. A.M.; Cleaning up studio—Early P.M. ; B & I to Buffalo. Stop by at Red Star to make final arrangements—to bank—& picture frame place etc. B stays to buy a hat. ; Home—letters to Joe & Ruth, Mary H. Budwell, Laurel, & F.R.; I feel flat—both relieved and sad that the pictures are gone.; B home at 4:00 with her new hat (very chic) and a blanket for H & M’s baby.
