some pills. – Our dinner in the evening—chicken we had bought etc—Monday— Baby still uncomfortable but seems some better, altho when we left, he had vomited again.

Left at 12:30—in a dreary rain. Raining and cloudy most of the trip home. Lunch at Skaneatales, on Cayuga Lake—at “Dutch Kitchen”—an excellent meal. The old poster on the wall, of a “Base Bawl” game in 1880 in a mawkishly humorous vein. The two ladies who came in too late for lunch (we had arrived just 5 minutes before the deadline). Call home at Avon—Cathy says she will have dinner for us. Arrive home at 6:30. Mart & Hank down for evening and we talk till late— May 6—(Tues.)— In studio trying to collect my ideas.

Evening—Mart & Hank down—Rummy & Popcorn. About 9:30—Sally calls and says baby had gotten worse & had to be taken to hospital in Oneida. That it was not dangerously ill, but would have to be fed intravenously for a day or so. That ended our cards and we spent a worried night. May 7—(Wed.)
