The opening—
B & I picked up the Ritchie’s & then to the Welches. Philip Elliott & his wife also. Then to gallery—a large crowd—
April 16— (Sunday)
Ill & in bed. I thought it was grippe—
Apr. 17—
PM. B & I to gallery for our first real view. Tired and ache-y, light headed.
Apr. 18—
B & I to Springville to Olmsted’s to get “hand-bound” which Harold had secured for me at a local lumber mill. A pleasant day, with charming people, but again I was in agony head-achy, weak, & aching all over. After lunch walk in the fields & woods—the grass—fire – hepaticas-- *** N.B. our hepaticas out for first time.
